I had a migraine.
Nothing like a headache from hell to throw you off course. I tried to go into the office, but I started crying as soon as I got there. "I think I'm going to die. I need a melon baller to pluck out my eyeballs." But instead of letting me 'die,' my good friend calmly walked to the office freezer, brought her ice pack back, and laid it gently on my neck.
"Go home."
I finished up at the office, and went home to lay in the dark, cool basement with an ice pack on my neck. After a couple of hours I'd napped and tweeted myself bored, but I was at least feeling better. Dinner out (I couldn't pick a beer, evidence of migraine hanging on - I had half Dr Pepper & half Root beer instead. weird. but delicious)... Some margherita pizza... a fresh salad... lots of water... I'm just now starting to feel slightly sleepy, so I'll go to bed hoping that I get enough sleep to replenish my stores...
Nothing like a little nature to humble your thoughts of world domination and delusions of grandeur.
